This display is a compound of 2 Color Defect Maps. One map is based on the statistical start values, the other map is based on the end values (details about the calculation method).

The composition of the 2 color maps to one map follows different geometrical patterns depending on the direction and significance of change :

significant (P>90%) improvement >> VERTICAL stripes
  here: improvement from brown to green

significant (P>90%) deterioration >> HORIZONTAL stripes
  here: deterioration from red/black to brown

not significant change >> CHECKERBOARD
  here: fluctuations between green and brown

stable or minimal change >> UNIFORM area
  here: stable green or stable brown, resp.

GATT PLUS: shows the change value as a number in addition. Highly significant changes (P>95%) have a double sign (++ or --)

CONCLUSION: This image type shows simultaneously defect depth, change and significance. The spatial relation between damage and trend is well recognizable. The evaluation is intuitive driven by the continuous, colored and patterned style. The contrast shows the amount of change. The interpolation increases the striped area overproportional if neighboured points have the same trend, working as a graphical cluster analysis. The GATT PLUS image visualizes the measurement pattern and the exact change value.   -- This highly informative and complex image type needs exercise and experience.
