Quality Indicator and Quality Numbers (Catch Trial Results)

A graphical "Quality Indicator" or, alternatively, quality numbers appear in the lower right corner of the visual field display.

This button toggles between the display of the Quality Indicator (button prominent and colored) and the Quality Numbers (button pressed and grayed)

Quality Numbers

fpos: False positive answers. Overreaction of the patient.

malfix: Malfixation Index. Bad fixation of the patient.

fneg: False negative answers. Underreaction of the patient.

The numbers turn red if the reliability limit was exceeded

Quality Indicator

False positive answers. The arrow points upwards. The length of the arrow is proportional to the percentage. The circle represents the limit of reliability. If the arrow exceeds the limit, it will change from white to red color and the circle gets a yellow filling.

Malfixation Index. This index is represented by 2 horizontal arrows, which point symmetrically to the left and the right. Length and color behave like the false positive arrow.

False negative answers. The arrow points downwards. Length and color behave like the false positive arrow.

Complete Quality indicator. All the 3 Quality values can be read. If the arrows are very short (no example), the arrowhead is not painted.

Not examined for false-positive behaviour. The dotted white line indicates that false-positve trial questions were not given.

Learning effect (only Trend Window): The learning effect analysis function detects, whether a series of at least 6 examinations shows a learning effect. If yes, the examinations in the learning phase (examination 1, or 1 and 2, resp.) are indicated by a read margin around the quality indicator circle. The circle gets a yellow filling.
