Send Patient data to the OCULUS program (Series-3)

PeriData is capable to send the current patient data (name, first name, birthdate, ID) to the perimeter program. This saves the effort of typing in all the patient data at the perimeter. The perimeter program is started if necessary.

The CONFIGURATION of the data transfer PeriData >> OCULUS consists of 2 jobs:

1. EXPORT configuration in PeriData

Extra menu > Options > tab Perimeter > Section EXPORT

2. IMPORT configuration in the OCULUS programm (Series-3)

SENDING patient data from PeriData

button "Data >> Perimeter" or key F4  or key F9

The data of the current patient are sent. If several patients are in the database list the patient under the cursor bar is sent.

Explanation and troubleshooting

This function uses the special directory C:\ PeriDataExchange \ GDT2Perimeter. PeriData writes the file "PERIPERI.GDT" containing the patient data. The batch file "StartPerimeter_Oculus.bat" is started. The perimeter program reads the data and deletes the file.

If the OCULUS program does not open, the path in the batchfile may be wrong. It can be adjusted with an editor.

If the patient is not selected in the OCULUS program, and tje file PERIPERI.GDT" os still in the special directory, check the configuration in the OCULUS program.

Patient ID: The use of the patient ID may duplicate the patient records in the Oculus program if not a perferct match. Therefore we advice to use the setting "Ignore ID" on the Oculus side. The ID may be sent as well, meaning that the checkbox "send ID" may be ON on the PeriData side.
