This image type has no separate menu item or button and appears with the normal probability map (total deviation). In this image the Pattern Deviation is converted to a symbol. The symbol should represent the probability that the deviation is accidental.

In contrary, the calculation of the symbols uses the formula for TOTAL deviation values. Therefore, the probability statements are not valid



CONCLUSION: This image type may help to recognize a damage pattern. But only a part of the defects are shown, and the probability symbols are not valid. There is a considerable risk to underestimate the overall damage. The use of this image type is risky
