This image shows the Total Deviation (Defect depth) in different colors. Between measured points the values are interpolated to create a continuous surface. The color texture is enhanced by a pointed gray shade. In the PLUS map the numbers are superimposed.

Defect depth or total deviation are norm-related values. A normal CDM is green -- Click here for more information about this value type, the meaning and interpretation
In the periphery there are some areas where the normal value is < 0dB. Defect depth / total deviation cannot be calculated. These areas may be missing, in the CDM PLUS there is a ? question mark instead of a number.
Interpolation enlarges the defect areas of adjacent defect points compared to singular defect points. Thus works like a graphical "cluster analysis"
