Perimeter Connection

Important

The perimeter type is set in the options dialog (menu Extra). This setting is done ONLY AT ONE WORKSTATION. Usually, it is the PC beside the perimeter. All other workstations have NO perimeter connection, they are reading the stored data from the central database and are set to ViewingMode.

Principle (all perimeters)

1: Physical Connection: Depending on the device type by cable, network or installation of PeriData on the same PC as the perimeter control software

2: Perimeter - Export: In the perimeter software, some settings are done to make the perimeter ready to send data correctly

3: PeriData - Import: Inside PeriData, the import interface is configurated. The setting is in the menu Extra >> Options >> Perimeter

4: PeriData - Patient Data Export: (optional) PeriData is capable to export patient key data (name, date of birth..) in the GDT format and even start the perimeter program. The export settings are in the menu Extra >> Options >> Perimeter

5: Perimeter - Patient Data Import (optional) The GDT import interface in the perimeter software is configurated to import the patient key data. Some perimeter types have no GDT interface

Note: The perimeter connection is not dependant on the integration with the EMR software

Please note

If the perimeter PC is a terminal in a Terminal Server Architecture, there are a few special features to consider. Please read this carefully:  Terminal Server Configuration
