This window shows the contents of the open database. The Database Window may be hidden behind the visual field windows. Using the ESC key you can close the visual field windows and see the Database Window. Or you move the window on top with the button
With the menu function Database > Open you can open several databases simultaneously. Several database windows are shown at a time.
Window title: shows the file name (e.g. EXAMPLE.phf). During LinkMode with a medical record software, the patient name will be shown as well. On the left, there is a PeriData Symbol. A cross over the symbol indicates the readonly mode. No changes of the database are allowed. Information about possible reasons
Sorting: NAME is default. A click on a column header changes the sort key. All about sort keys
Mark (select) examinations: Marked examinations are indicated by a red bar. One or several examinations can be marked. The mouse, the arrow keys, the shift key and the CTRL key work in the same way as in the Windows Explorer.
Button "Show Patient" ENTER Double click: all examinations of a patient are selected automatically and the display windows with the visual feilds open
shift + ENTER: no automatic selection, only the red marked exams are shown
Button "FIND" CTRL + F: opens the search dialog to find a specific patient or, in case of a different sort key, e.g. an examination date
CTRL + T ALT + ENTER ALT + mouseclick: all examinations of ONE patient are marked (selected), but the visual fields are not shown. The database window stays on top. Used e.g. for copying examinations of 1 patient
CTRL + A: ALL examinations in the entire database are marked (selected)
The context menu (RIGHT mouse click) or the menu "Functions" more functions:
"Delete": the marked examinations are deleted and additionally copied to the clipboard details about delete
"Copy": the marked examinations are copied to the clipboard. details about copy.
"Paste": the examinations are copied from the clipboard into the active database details about paste
"Change data": all marked data can be changed. Mistakes during the input at the perimeter can be corrected. details about change
