The 4 different types of installation for PeriData

There is only 1 PeriData program variant. The behaviour is determined solely by the type of installation and the start call with commandline parameters.

1. Standalone

PeriData is installed on 1 PC. And 1 database is created containing all examinations of all patients.     >> Installation on one PC

2. Network Solution (no integration)

PeriData is installed on all PCs in the local network. One database containing all examinations of all patients is created on the perimeter PC. By sharing the folder, all workstations can access the data (in viewing mode). The EMR software is NOT connected. PeriData and EMR software are running parallel without link.     >> Installation‑Guide for Network Solution

3. Partial Integration (1 large database)

PeriData is installed on all PCs in the local network. One database containing all examinations of all patients is created on the perimeter PC. By sharing the database folder, all workstations can access the data (in viewing mode). The EMR software starts PeriData with commandline parameters making the database to jump to the patient name.     >> Installation‑Guide for Partial Integration

4. Full Integration = LinkMode (many small databases)

PeriData is installed on all PCs in the local network. On the server, a "PeridataFiles" folder is created where every patient gets his own database. These are many databases. The EMR software opens PeriData with special commandline parameters. PeriData is now in the LinkMode and shows only the database of the current patient. Further convenience elements are immediate visual field display, name check and informative lines in the medical record.     >> Installation‑Guide for LinkMode >> Installation‑Guide for LinkMode
